• The battle of Waterloo happened 2000 thousand years ago.

• 6,000 volunteers have recreated the historic fight.

• The volunteers dressed as soldiers and carefully re-enacted the battle for a huge audience.

• No real bullets were used.

• 300 horses and 100 cannons were used in the huge display.

• The battle was between two of history’s greatest military leaders. The Duke of Wellington, (with his army made up of British troops and Dutch, Belgian and German soldiers) and Napoleon Bonaparte  (with his French Imperial Guard).
